A Lost hearing Aid on the Prairie

By: plapman , 1:32 PM GMT on February 15, 2012

Today will be cloudy with periods of snow beginning this morning. The high will be -1C(30F).
Tonight wiill see the periods of snow ending this evening then mainly cloudy with an overnight low of -13C(8F).
------------------------------------------------- --
I've added more bad luck to my situation. Yesterday I lost a hesring aid. I remember checking them in the morning but in the evning I was goung out for coffee and notived 1 was missing. That tiny thing could be anywhere in the house of along the road on my 2.5 mile walk with Abbey along the gopher trails. I'll have to get out along our route early today before the snow starts. But I don't think theirs much chance of finding the tiny thing. The things are like glasses once you get used to having them in your ear you never notice them. My hearing deficency is mostly at the upper end of the sound range. I guess at over $3500 an ear I'll have another excuse not to listen to the Queen for atleast another 4 years until my next pair, supplied by workman's Compensation, is due.
The Queen just got up Time to go for coffee.

OK Tony what are you up to, I thought I was late coming on line but here it is the afternoon and you still have not graced us with your presence. Hope all is well with you and you are just out and about with Abbey looking for that missing hearing aid.

Temps are in the low 40s here with promise of rain so hopefully any snow that is left will melt.

Have a safe and happy day dear one.

Oh, gosh. That's like me losing a contact lens. Mine are usually findable, though. It can take a while to go over a bathroom sink and a bathmat, but I usually have a pretty good idea where it is.

Checking with your insurance is something you should do. My insurance covers a certain amount away from the house - I think $5,000 or something. I've never made a claim,so I don't know. If you don't find it, it sure would make replacing it more doable.

At first I thought asking Abby to find it was a long shot, but maybe not. If you don't find it in the house, take something along with your scent on it - just don't lose the other hearing aid!

Oh Tony that is too bad. Check with your insurance company, they may be covered under your home insurance. Its worth a try at that price. If not, then damn have them added to it. You can't go without your hearing aids.

Don't laugh but try this and see what happens...show Abbey the hearing aid and ask her to go find...she may just be able to do that for you. She is such a smart dog....here is hoping anyway...

Overcast here today with a bit of wind but it is much milder. The snow is melting nicely but sun does help to melt it faster. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers. Whatever works...

Have a wonderful day dear one. Good luck on finding that hearing aid.
