Another Day on the Prairie

Today will bring periods of light snow ending this morning then clearing. The wind southeast 30 km/h (19 mph). Today's high 2C(36F).
Tonight it will become cloudy this evening with a 30% chance of flurries late this evening and overnight. The wind northwest at 30 km/h (19 mph) gusting to 60 km/h (37 mph). The overnight low will be -15C(5F).

Well I got my snow moved yesterday morning so that the Queen could do he morning shopping. We had to hurry yesterday as the granddaughter was having some problems that needed attention.
The light fluffy snow we received could cause some problems on the roads and highways tonight. Hopefully the above freezing high will create a crust to hold he snow in place.
The Queen is home today so I'll have company and if it does turn into a winter storm she'll be safe not having to drive home in the dark.
Yesterdays project was another batch of granola bars. I think this batch will disappear quickly, their better than the first batch.
The RCMP have based a canine unit here in Portage. The dog, Timber will make getting away from a crime scene on foot next to impossible. Prior to the unit being based in Portage the dog was brought in from Selkirk, an hours drive, and the dog had a hard time following the dissapating odor.

Hi Tony now our dear sweet Casey A has been spotted in Port St. Lucie by a woman who is sure it was Casey. Court cases seem to be back. Matt Morgan, attorney for Zenida Gonzolez is trying to get a judge to wave Casey's right to using the fifth amendment since all her stuff has been showing up on the internet. He wants to depose her in Zenida's case. Jose Baez is out as her lead defense attorney at least that is what I have heard. Cheney Mason will take over her case.

Was cold here. 34 degrees early this morning when I got up but now the themp is back to 60 with not a cloud in the sky. Warming up the beginning of next week with rain (maybe) to hit the middle of the week and the temps falling again.

Hope you have a nice Sunday.

Do your RCMP guys still wear the read suits with the cool hats? Are they on horseback??

Morning, Tony,

I still haven't done any of Alley's granola bars - which recipe did you use? They all look so good I don't know where to start.

Nice to have your own dog. I'd not thought about what time lapses like that could do to the scent. It makes perfect sense, of course - I'd just never thought of it. I like the dog's name, too.

Have a good day - we've already reached your high for the day - we're at 39. Maybe you can squeeze out a couple of extra degrees. ;)

Good morning Tony. Checked this morning and saw that you are actually warmer in Portage than we are here in SW Ontario. Its a bright sunny but very cold morning here. Not looking forward to the chore ahead but it must be done. Suppose to warm up into the 40s by Tuesday, it will be nice to see warmth again...

Anyway have a great day, glad your granola bars turned out so good.
