================================================= ===
I think I overdid it yesterday in the morning. I cut the front grass then started the back lawn when my mower quit. I tried for a 1/2 to get it started but it wouldn't go. I then took Abbey for her walk. While walking I knew my route but couldn't place myself on it. When a gentleman ask for directions I sent him 3 building too far and to the wrong side. He returned a couple of minutes later and I stopped him and sent him the right way. I Was only 1 building past his destination by then.
Abbey must have sensed my condition. Where she usually runs in a field gopher hunting she stayed by me in the heal position. When we approached the spot where I leash her again she ran ahead and waited. On the way home she stayed in the heal position instead of going to the end of her 16 foot leash and turned at the right corners. It sure was scary not knowing my exact location but I still knew the route. When I got home I had an hours nap and felt better. I'm going to have to learn to pace myself better.
The SIL got the first coat of mud on the walls and will be back today to apply a second coat. I got him to check my mower and when he did he said get dynamite for it. :) A valve had broken and was hitting the spark plug. It's a better deal to buy a new mower than to replace the motor.
When I got the new mower home the 2 grandsons assembled it and finished the grass. What great boys.
While the SIL was mu dding he got the boys to help him and explained why it was done the way he said. Those boys are sure getting a good upbringing.
It's not only kids who play with markers. When the SIL was finished mudding and laying the flooring he was playing with a marker and drew whiskers and eyebrows on the youngest grandson's face. He now resembles one of Alley's cats. lol
Mom didn't think it was funny as she's taking him to Newfoundland with us and will have to travel with a kitty child as the marker won't be off by then. it's a good thing those 2 were made for each other. I guess I'll be traveling with a daughter and a kitty tomorrow. lol
Kramer has learned a new trick. He jumped up on one of the Queen's filing cabinets and opened a door with his paw. I was amazed at what I saw. he then went into the room and jumped onto a bed and went to sleep. I sure wish I'd of had my camcorder handy!
Tomorrow Night I sleep in Newfoundland.

Have fun in Newfoundland with the kids and "kitty".
Roxie says "Woof" to Abbey and will send her good doggie vibes while you are on adventure.

Good Afternoon, Tony!

Tryin' to play catch up with my posts since T/S Irene swept over (safely and without damaging us, thank goodness) this past weekend! Hope that's it for seasonal hurricanes and tropical storms around here for, at least, another twenty years! Unfortunately, with such wide-spread, drastic, seasonal weather changes occurring this year, I don't think I should hold my breath! On the up-side, hubby and I were able to retain our power throughout the storm, BIG YEAH! It also gave us a jump start to fall by leaving behind nine full bags worth of leaves and other minor debris strewn across the front and backyards.

Glad to hear that Abbey remains so intuitive to your medical condition while taking those daily walks with you. Don't feel too bad about giving mis-directions or occasionally feeling lost or confused, as my husband experiences the very same thing for some of the same reasons. Daily naps are crucial for him as well, especially just after eating and when meds kick in. Most days, they also do the trick in helping him subsequently feel more alert or focused.

So enjoyed your amusing grandson anecdote above concerning his artistic magic marker rendering on the other's face, (I guess, at that age, boredom mixed with creative urges, comes with a price! LOL!) Last night's exploits of your cat, Kramer, are equally funny! Sounds like you've got an energetic, spontaneously fun-filled menagerie going on there!

Hope you, and all your loved ones traveling with you, have a most safe and enjoyable trip to Newfoundland! Say, HI!, to Gary for us (if you see him) and keep in touch when able!

Tony I am so excited for your trip. I think getting away for a short time will do more good for you than any medicine. I hope your weather is the best and you can enjoy all the family you haven't seen for awhile. I am sure the Queen will miss you but she will probably get alot accomplished while you are gone. Have a safe trip and post when you can.

Hello Tony,

How funny about the kitty face. Should make the flight interesting ;-).

Mowers can be such a pain at times. Have had a couple that had the dynamite benediction read over them.

Abby is certainly a great dog and how wonderful that she is aware and so helpful for you.

Enjoy your trip!!

Good morning Tony. Still chuckling over the "kitty" you will be traveling with to NFLD...tell her to use a little nail polish remover and that should help get rid of most of the magic marker...ROFLMBO. Poor kid. heee heee heee.

Yes it won't be long now, looks like for the most part the weather will not be too bad for your flight. Hopefully there will not be any delays. Don't forget to order your wheelchair for boarding and unboarding. It will be worth it for your daughter and you.

I agree with you, cats are darn smart and can learn amazing tricks. Old Bugs use to open the cupboard doors and check to see what was in there. He would put his paw under the door and open it. Rascal. Miss that kitty. He was a great companion but so is Molly.

Well I best go and make that coffee so I am ready to go shopping. That was a scare yesterday so hopefully you will learn how to pace yourself better. Could have been the stress of trying to start the lawnmower that caused you to feel the way you did. Just take care of yourself today and don't over do it especially this close to flight. Hugs to all...
