Luckily, we missed the snow but from a line about 35 miles west of us they got dumped on. The TransCanada highway is closed west of brandon as well as alll highways to the west from that line.

I never got out with Abbey again yesterday but with the freezing temps today I'll give it a try if it's not too slippery.

Hey, glad you missed the latest big snow. It should start warming up in another two weeks or so, yes?

Looks like a cold but sunny day today! Hopefully that dump didn't occur upstream of you; a sudden warm spell wouldn't be good...

Good Morning Plap!

I echo your and everyone else's sentiments regarding the lucky escape from snow falling in your specific area! By the scene from your webcam, it appears sunny but with plenty of snow in need of a gradual meltdown. Glad that your trusty wet/dry vac is keeping up the pace of your basement's water seepage, but hope it's not too taxing on you while emptying.

If you decide to take a stroll with Abbey later on, please continue to be careful! It still looks rather trecherous and cold.

Tonight into most of tomorrow, it looks like we'll be picking up 1-2" of the white stuff ourselves. Our roads may become slushy due to the colder than normal accompanying temps. What a miserable and tiring winter/spring transition many of us have endured!

Sad to announce this, but Elizabeth Taylor has passed away today at age 79 due to increased congestive heart failure. For all her controversies through the years, I'll always remember her as an unparalleled beauty, tremendous talent and a great humanitarian for her successful plight in increasing HIV/AIDS awareness and education, since the early '80's, to a once very stigmatized public. Thanks to her (and others) many have managed to survive this insidious disease as a result of all her tremendous efforts and contributions. May she forever RIP!

Boy, I'm really feeling my age and mortality these days with the relatively recent passings of all the of icons I grew up watching! :-(

Morning Tony, had a chuckle about the truck, seen many of them on the dirt roads, especially at harvest time. Might have driven one or two when in Deloraine getting to be many years ago now.
Great to see you are getting about with the hound, the weather will change to the good before too long. Any word on the flood forecast, great here today, but a bit cool.

Ok hold on to your sides, cause your going to be laughing yourself silly...We got some of MUSH's snow down here...Bad bad MUSH...Don't want that crap here anymore.
We got about a half inch so it was not bad and its melting this morning. Won't be long and it will be all gone again. Oh well it is still March so we have to expect this last kick to the can before old Man Winter will move on.

It will be interesting to see how high the temps will get today. I would think in the low 40s if we're lucky. Just one more week and April will be here with her warm temps. Whooo Hoooo!!!

Have a great day dear one, Keep warm and keep well.

Good morning to you! Glad the snow missed you - otherwise, it's a sure thing you wouldn't be taking a walk!

I wonder if Evil Knievel still thought that jump was worth it after he racked up those 93 broken bones? I have this vision of him looking like a mummy. I'm not sure I knew there were that many bones in the body. I guess it makes sense - one finger has three bones, etc. However you count it, that's pretty amazing!

Have a good day and don't break any bones!
