Clearing on the Prairie

By: plapman , 2:09 PM GMT on February 08, 2010

oday wll be cloudy with sunny periods and a 30% chance of flurries this morning. Clearing this afternoon with a high near -9C(15F).
Tonight will start clear then increasing cloudiness late this evening. An overnight low of -14C(6F) is forecast.
We had a quiet day on the prairie yesterday. The Queen's snow removal crew did thier job around noon but will be back today. We only got out once for a milk run and to top off the gas in the car.
The school buses aren't running today in the school division so the rural kids get a day off. The youngest daughter dosen't feel that it's fair that she has to walk to school and was not impressed with my offer of snowshoes.

Noontime on the little rock, blue sky making an appearance, temp right around the freezing mark, still quite a breeze from NW making it a little uncomfortable out of doors.
With all the snow you have down is there any flags go up about the spring thaw. If it lets up in a hurry will be alot to contend with. I would have to think the Redi River Valley has a lot to contribute.
Have a good one. ROB
