Abby lost me yesterday. She went off chasing a bunny and I walked a bit further and waited. When she reappeared she went the wrong way. She went around a corner and I lost sight of her again. I walked to where she turned and she came running back to me with her tail wagging. It must have scared her as she always seems to know where I am.

We wrapped her in cool wet towels and after a few minutes she had a drink of water and returned to normal. The don't seem to be any after effects but a trip to the vet is in order.

Collector or Pack Rat

I'm a collector at heart. The Queen of the Praire says a packrat. I have a collection of of old clocks. I have about 15 of them ranging from the 1890's to a modern day one I bought at Wal*Mart so the queen could tell the time. It's the only one I run, the rest are all at different times according to when the stopped when I tested them.
This summer I seem to have started a bicycle collection. It started with a frame I pulled from a dumpster while walking Abby. It was better than my bike but needed wheels. I swiped the wheels from my old bike and discarded the old frame. As the summer has progressed I've accumulated 4 bikes all costing nothing. The latest is an old 1970's model Sekine. It too was rescued hanging on to the side of a dumpster with no wheels. I've found wheels for it and it's a great ride. The garage is getting full but the bikes will stay in thier new home much to the chagrin of the queen.
Working with the bikes I've learned to straighten wheels, repair chains and set derailleurs. It's a good hobby and keeps me out of trouble.
