Hi WW Thank you for the beautiful tranquil picture lots of deep breathes being taken, H decided chocolate was needed and brought me some of my favourite Haighs chocolates from the city yesterday....there goes the diet again!

Hi Calpoppy Yep but the girls both missed a season earlier this year because it was too hot for them so things I had planned for the beginning of the year are happening now!

Sounds like your plate is full, Oz. Take deep breaths and count to 10, drink a large glass of water, and just writing it down to us, hopefully helped, also. Perhaps a slow day will come soon. In the meantime, take a few moments for just you each day. Have a great week!

A lovely little birdhouse for you with the Mother Bluebird feeding the babies:

Dogs, husband, cars all demanding time at the moment!! P is at a conference in Adelaide for some of the day the rest of the time he is working from home so the computer is occupied, the dogs are all waaaay over the top at the moment, and the dog I sold to my next door neighbour keeps getting into the garden 'cos the girls are just sooooo inviting!!!! Nerves on jangle level trying to keep an eye on it all!

Hope everyone is having a more peaceful time hopefully things WILL get back to normal soon. Did you get wet in the big storm Sandi?

Did I say this week would be better......well BOTH my girls have come into season and now its like a mad house with hormones raging in all directions!!!! The weekend went very well, the food disappeared rapidly so have to assume they liked it. There was one piece of sticky date cake left on the plate and I thought oh good I'll just clear these plates and by the time I came back it had gone, never mind I can always make another!!
Geddy had a good weekend again, he won Minor in Group (he has gone up a class) in the first show and best of breed in the second beating an older dog which was great and his sister had her first show so it was good to see how she was progressing.
Hi Sandi He was really good considering our weather had been so awful I hadn't had chance to practise and I had to run straight from the kitchen grab him and dash in the ring! This weekend could be interesting as I couldn't get him to focus at training last night. All he wanted to do was chase any other dog that would play!!!!
Hi Ylee I know what you mean my dau sent me a text yesterday asking how my weekend was and I sent one back asking her the same then had to send another one saying oops forgot yours is still going!!! I think the weather forecast for today has us at 18 degrees that's warm for this time of year and people are already thinking warmer weather, but August is often our coldest month so I'm just going to enjoy today if reaches that temperature!

I don't know whether the dog show was Saturday or Sunday, but whenever it was I hope it went well. how did Geddy do? I do hope that he had remembered everything he had learnt before you flew off to the UK.

And yes, there but for the grace of God….

Yes, that is the way it is at the Butterfly House at the Durham Life and Science Museum in North Carolina. It is a tall glass building on 3 sides and ceiling. Inside they keep it the temp and moisture or humidity of a tropical isle. They have many exotic tropical plants and so many types of butterflies. I love to go there. I have not been since last year. OUr little butterfly house here in Danville is just like being outside with no temp control the building is made of some type of netting and no exotic plants or butterflies. I still love to go there and very proud that we have our little butterfly house locally. It closes in the fall and does not reopen until warm weather.

There but for the grace of God........... such sad news this morning, thoughts and prayers go out to all those with family and friends on the Malaysian flight. Very cold here this morning but dry! We have had well above average rain so far this winter and the ground is at saturation point lots of water standing in the garden.

Hi WW The butterfly house is at Changi airport in Singapore it is a hub for many destinations and also has a cacti garden and several Koi pools. The only problem was it was so steamy in there the lens kept steaming up!LOL

Hi Ylee After this weekend ALL should be back to normal! I will be cooking all day today to provide two two course meals for at least 18 people tomorrow, so suppose I had better get on!

Have just put all my holiday photos on the computer will have to sort a few out and start a new blog but not today!!!!
Groomed Geddy yesterday ready for our show this weekend, hope he behaves after three weeks off, and I have to go shopping now to get supplies for the catering for the judges and stewards.

Hi SandiThe Christmas BBQ went well the weather is not looking so good for this weekends shows but hey ho its winter! Don't you hate that when you come back and look and your comment has disappeared!

Hi GGHe is growing like a weed I think he is going to be a big dog but his nature is beautiful he is a gentle soul but very enthusiastic about everything. Bones has the patience of a saint with him but every now and then has to tell him off which is funny to watch!

Hi Guys, thanks for all the welcome home wishes! We have just had a couple of really horrible days weather wise, (I gather it has been like this for a lot of the time we were away) but it has poured with rain and strong winds and thunder that shook the house, and only 8 degrees which is cold for us! Sorry to all you guys who get REALLY cold weather but we just don't dress for that kind of weather. Everywhere is really soggy so not much I can do in the garden and its no good trying to groom wet dogs so hopefully it will dry out over the next couple of days. I still have to finalise menus for this weekends Christmas in July and I am catering our dog show next weekend so that needs to be thought about too but it WILL get done!

Hi ProsStill having some time issues with the sleeping but its getting better (though I did just nod off while I was doing some paper work and its only 8am!) Catching up with Sandi was fun, my H can't understand what we can find to talk about for more than an hour!!!

Hi CalYep Sandi and I had lunch Hubby went for a walk, he is taking part in the Global Corporate Challenge to get the world walking and is obsessive about keeping his ranking in their team (might be that he is the oldest and the youngsters thought he would hold them back!) The funniest thing was my friend who looked after them was singing their praises on how good the dogs had been and when she came over on Monday night Geddy stuck to my heels like glue we think he thought we might leave him again! LOL

Hi WWSometimes we just aren't meant to take photos on a certain day, we have gone out to forests or just into the bush specifically to take photos and on those days often we see NOTHING! We did take lots of photos but I haven't had time to put them on the computer yet hopefully today we might get them looked at. The cat is very handsome though!

Hi YleeToo true, I ran all the food stock down before we went away so now I have to replenish the cupboards and the freezer!

I bet Geddy was glad to see you!!! Luckily I don't think dogs have much of a sense of time, so they might have thought you went shopping for awhile, LOL!

Hi Oz, Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad you are back from your trip. Hope you had a wonderful time. I can't wait to hear all about it. Have completed a double walk and am hot even though sun is in and temps are not too hot yet. My body just gets hot after a walk. The house is cool but I feel hot so tipped the air one more notch so it would cut on, plus turned on a fan. In a few moments I will be all chilled as my body temp calms down and I will be tipping the air in the opposite direction. I walked 2.3 miles this am. Seems it was not a photo morn - sometimes you see something and sometines you don't. Nothing spectacular this am. A Kitty Cat was about the most exciting thing I saw. It was by the woods.

So, I want to hear all about your trip and the pleasure of meeting Sandi and all of your adventures. Did you take lots of photos. Please share on WU.

Welcome home! Have a great week!

Well we made it home! Just missed out on the heightened security measures at Heathrow, thank goodness but still a bit tired and time confused!!!!!! Have to get myself organised though as we have a Christmas in July function here on Sunday with about 20 people expected. The dogs are all home and we had a wonderful greeting from them, Geddy has grown and needs a serious haircut before next weeks show!

Ylee Yep its great to be home and it was lovely to be able to catch up with Sandi again!

SandiDidn't we go to a garden centre to keep P happy and then he went for a walk!!!!!!! Great to see you again!

There is a new walkway from the car park to the grounds, which was only just finished last time we went. But there were the most stunning silver birches alongside the path.. which in winter were magical!

See you a week from today:)
