My blog hi-jacked itself! My intention was to write about holiday traditions but it got sidetracked into one about exchanging gifts - or rather NOT exchanging gifts. Ooops, spoiler alert! Bug's been suffering from itchy feet since we got back from South Padre Island after Thanksgiving - so it's no real surprise that she told me it was time for her to move on. We are very sorry to see her go, she is a great houseguest. She asked me for a ride to the post office tomorrow and I plan on taking her on my lunch hour. Wherever she ends up, I'm sure she will have an enjoyable time. I hope it's somewhere warm as she's not a fan of cold weather!Last weeken...

Island Thanksgiving, by Bug We left Austin Thanksgiving Day morning around 5 am. I ended up sleeping most of the drive as did Wanda - I offered to help with the driving but Bob said not necessary just relax and take it easy. A pic I like from our fall Colorado trip.Growing up, Thanksgiving Dinner was just our large immediate family – eight of us all together. My mom spent all day cooking and us kids spent all day starving because she didn’t want us “to spoil our appetite” and so we ate very little throughout the day.
