July 2012
A little privacy would be nice!
The tiny Bronze Copper is considered an endangered species in parts of the United States and this is the first time I have ever seen one.
Dramatic clouds were more like paper tigers that dropped very little rain this afternoon.
I never get tired of these beauties!
Sunspots were clearly visible on the sun and then as it dropped lower on the horizon, the sun turned to pink.
Pink sunset over Lake Erie this evening.
Made the most of my lunch break by snapping a few shots of the Clearwing Hummingbird Moths in the coneflowers.
A low roll cloud moved under the higher clouds at sunset and created a beautiful display over Lake Erie this evening.
This shot was taken as the roll cloud began forming and rolling through.
I've seen the hens in the field behind our house with the little ones, but this morning one of them finally brought the babies closer to the house to clean up sunflower seeds under the bird feeder.
A little closer shot of some of the little ones. We counted 11 of them following the hen around our yard this morning.
The edge of a large thunderhead cloud is highlighted by the sunset over Lake Erie.
The clouds and calm before the storm. A special weather statement issued tonight says
Tonight's moon breaking through the clouds.
Shadows behind the rose bush gave me a nice black background to show off this yellow beauty.
