Frankenstorm Sandy?

Anticipating the rainfall, winds, outages, and possible snow from Sandy here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge. Worried that even if we only get the rainfall that my "Bottom Garden" may get flooded out. I took the gamble of planting a winter garden of radishes, brocoli, swiss shard, onions, spinach, and part of my normal Elephant Garlic down by the river. The river would need to go higher than 8 feet (6+ inch rain), but that has happened at least once a year over the 12 years I've been here. I'm wondering whether to take every thing that can move to higher ground. I wouldn't mind a minor power outage and a lot of snow... I guess with my power generator, satelite internet, and cameras, I'll let you know...

Thank you, Lord! We barely got an inch of rain and winds never topped 30mph... No snow or power outage either! We were in the middle of all of that with winds and rain to the northeast and snow to the southwest. As much as I would like to see snow and was prepared, I'm glad we didn't have the problems people had around us. The winter garden and garlic got enough rain for the week and now I have enough coal and wood for the whole winter (and maybe next). Hope all is well for the rest of you...
