Never fails that when it rains a lot, my rain gauge is stopped up. Today, July 12th, I decided to clean it out. I let all of the water go through the gauge to keep the rain total of the year more accurate. It looks like we had a 1.38 incher this morning, but that was over the last week and probably lost some as I think the birds were using it to bath/drink. The manual gauge on the deck is approaching 5 inches (4.75)since June 29th.
The river is up and should make the kayak and canoe paddlers happy. The water is the color of my coffee after creaming...
The garlic harvest was terrible this year as they had WAY too much rain in late May and early June. Good thing I'm not living off of garlic as this year's harvest was worse than years I grew it as a hobby.
