Busy days : a trip to Italy, baby-sitting my 6 months old grandson 5 days a week, seeds, grass and hedges growing so fast in the garden with the 80°temps and the good rains of last winter till April.....whew! I'm always surprised how you folks can be so present on this site! I'm probably too old and slow to do everything I think of everyday! And I don't want to miss my everyday travel through the beautiful world of WU photographers!
An 80 foot waterfall which falls into the ocean at high tide. I think this is one of the most scenic spots in the Big Sur region.

Mt Susitna is known as a roche moutonnée.
In glaciology, roche moutonnée is a rock formation created by the passing of a glacier. When a glacier erodes down to bedrock, it can form tear-drop shaped hills that taper in the direction of flow.

Rainbows in the mist from Snoqualmie Falls, WA. The falls is running high with snow-melt, so there was a lot of mist and spray in the air, and I was constantly wiping water off my lens...
When viewing my previous upload of this image on a different screen I saw that it was very dark looking! I have formatted it correctly for upload and here is the correct looking image.
High CAPE's of 2500 j/kg fueled storms with beautiful anvil tops. This hill with the flowers is better than I've ever seen it after a wet may and an inch of precipitation yesterday. The flowers were darker than this so I did a double exposure exposing the sky correctly and then the foreground correctly so the photo looks how the scene looked naturally (similar to HDR). This was one of the more impressive scenes I've ever seen in my life. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
Can you imagine a time before air conditioners when folks sat on their front porches in the morning and shelled peas or took walks in the early evening and visited across the porch railings with their neighbors?

The storm front has passed, and the sunset light briefly reappears.
