Has Chrysler Lost its mind?

By: mobal, 4:42 PM GMT on December 30, 2008

I cant beleive this! Chrysler pays $100,000.00 for full page add in USA Today and $200,000.00 to run it in Wall Street Journal.

First of all, if Chrysler wanted to be accurate, it should have thanked the Bush Administration in their decision to offer both Chrysler and GM a bailout loan - I didn't see any American taxpayers vote on the matter, did you? If you ask me, Chrysler decision to spend money -it doesn't matter how much- on a print ad thanking Americans for bailing them out was stupid. With so many media outlets of all sorts, a press release is more than adequate these days to get your message out to millions of people. Total waste of money that could have gone into saving a job or two.

Why is it that all the recipes call for one or two pounds of ground but the stores package is 1.56 or 2.34? Never in exact pounds……

Heck, speaking of ground reminds me of an age old one…Why is it called a "hamburger" when there is no ham in it?

Why cant you sneeze with your eyes open?

Why do they say partly cloudy instead of partly sunny?

Why is most sandwich meat round and bread is square?

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

Why do we press the start button to turn off the computer?

Ok, Just thinking……

Best Wishes

Think back....way back... You are young, dumb and full of FUN. What were the must have gifts for you....Here are a few of mine.

Every boy had to have the electric football game, no skill needed...

And of course Evil!

Football again....

And to be cool!!!! I mean REAL COOL!!!! The digital age......

But some things will never change....

Nor should they!!

Your turn

By: mobal, 4:59 AM GMT on December 17, 2008

Ok, I took liberty with a song. Add as you see fit, but keep it civil!

And change of song or subject is fine.

Well I don't know why I came here tonight,
I got the feeling that something ain't right,
I'm to scared to watch the news but I care,
They say the gov is giving away money at a dare
Congress to the left of me,
Bush to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.

Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you,
And I'm wondering what it is I should do,
It's so hard to keep a smile on my face,
Losing control, yeah, Spendings all over the place,
Banks to the left of me, Cars to the right,
Here I am, stuck in paying it with you.

Trying to make some sense of it all,
But I can see that it makes no sense at all,
Is it cool to keep a gun by the door,
'Cause I don't think some trust anyone no more
Libs to the left of me,
Cons to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.

Well I started out with nothing,
And am proud to be a self made man,
My friends now really mean something
And I will trust them because I know I can

Fiscally Responsible

By: mobal, 1:23 AM GMT on December 11, 2008

The economy is taking a downfall; credit I am told is harder to get and food prices I know are getting higher.

I only have one real credit debt, my house. No car payments etc...But then again I only buy second hand cars and save for other stuff. I have a credit card that I use for convenience and pay off monthly, always have. I consider myself fiscally responsible.

Wish I owned a bank or car company though......Billions to be had!

Any thoughts?

Or Better yet...

Any thoughts that dont involve goats?

Firearm Madness and Mountain Oysters

By: mobal, 2:24 AM GMT on December 10, 2008

Well it seems that after this last election we have more and more people buying firearms. Some of the stories I have read and some of the folks I have seen REALY scare me. I was at a gun shop yesterday and a guy was shown a pistol…his first thought was to point and shot at the store and all around him! Thank GOD the guy behind the counter didn’t load it! Which of course he would not have…..but it makes one wonder about some of these folks.

I was brought up around guns and hunting. I decided I like cow better then deer and I no longer hunt. That and I could have shot a Buck in my scope and did not, to my grandfather’s despair….oh well, love you pappy!

I do have some self protection firearms that I am very safe and proficient with.

What say you on this NEW gun craze?

After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."

Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event."

German Chancellor Adolph Hiter said "Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks." Herr Hitler has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to enhance Germany's rankings. Hitler protested "Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces."

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented "France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."

Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines.

Bama Is Back

By: mobal, 1:48 AM GMT on December 02, 2008

So here we go...Bama is undefeated.

Florida lost one game.

None of that matters going into this game. I have a lot of friends that think Bama cannot win this game, others such as me say, "Let the boys play and may the best team win."

I don’t know; no one will until Saturday!

Regardless of the result I know only one thing, BAMA IS BACK! Roll Tide!

Yea, Alabama! Drown 'em Tide!
Every 'Bama man's behind you;
Hit your stride!
Go teach the Bulldogs to behave,
Send the GATORS to a watery grave!
And if a man starts to weaken,
That's a shame!
For 'Bama's pluck and grit
Have writ her name in crimson flame!
Fight on, fight on, fight on, men!
Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win then!
Go, roll to victory,
Hit your stride,
You're Dixie's football pride, Crimson Tide!
