07:00, 48f, thin clouds, light fog. hot pink sunrise. roosters crowing. guardian in cactus field comes to check me and pup out on our morning walk down lane. pup all excited. song birds singing. sheep in woodlot going out to east pasture. hung a wash on the line.
10:40, low tide rising at CK. east wind, 5 knts. 62f. cormorants and 1 gull on oyster bar. egrets on mud flats.
finished mending all trawls except the sleeve of the cod end on #4 trawl. the no-see-ums were bothersome. except for them, it was pleasant and sunny in the boat yard.
16:00, high tide at #4 bridge. west wind, 6 knts. 68f. sunny. fed cat, left for the farm.
16:30, 70f at back door. took a brief nap after quick walk with pup. clothes on the line, dry.
18:40, 68f, sun rather colorless in the west. hay to all. got 2 eggs. pup finds some nasty piece of fur crap in the yard. a lot of yelling before she gives it up.. think it was the remnants of one of the guardian's coon-kills.. yuck!
21:30, 56f. a mist. guardian all over barking. dixie joins in. pup is ready. very bright stars and planets tonight. don't know who they are but it sure is lovely! good night, stars..
