07:20, 56f, overcast. gray dawn. roosters crowing since 5. guardian sleepy by empty food bowl. pup has energy. donkeys hooting for hay. sheep snoozing in sheep barn.
10:00, wild turkey hen on shoulder of 345. high tide falling at CK. north wind, 6 knts. sunny. 60f. chilly but pretty out.
fed cat. mended last bait seine. continured mending big seine. birthday bar-b-que for several employees. long drawn-out meeting on up coming sampling procedure in afternoon. would rather been mending nets.
16:20, low tide rising at #4 bridge. west wind, 15-20 knts. 65f. one gull, several cormorants, and 3 egrets at oyster bar. herons in the marsh.
19:30, 64f at back door. sunny, windy. donkeys got hay. sheep got 2 books. got 3 eggs. 3 deer slipping out of donkey woodlot. pup sees them.. golden sunset in the making.
21:00, 59f. clear with stars. guardian barking by workshop again. some varmint must be denned up there. might need to get out live trap again. small fire in fireplace. sheep sleeping in barn. good night, lambs.
