06:40, 67F, dawn, a fog. roosters crowing. guardian whirls around the fold several times before coming into yard. pleasant walk with pup down lane. golden sunrise. need to unload firewood, fill bird feeder, hay, etc. muffin for breakfast, thinking about bacon..
10:50, chores done, bacon was good. low tide in CK. spoonbills perusing the shallows. pink against the green mangroves, lovely. east wind, 5 knts. 80F.
cat had food. continued mending big seine. finally got to bag and hole the tarpon ripped through. everything soaking wet. pulled it out of box to dry. hot and dry so should dry quickly. worked in library in afternoon pulling articles on silversides, anchovies, and herring for one of the biologists.
16:10, high tide rising at #4 bridge. east wind, 10 knts. 87F. herons in the marsh.
17:00, 92F at back door. sunny. got 3 eggs. pup and guardian lying in dirt. hot and dry. plants need watering.
19:20, 79F, blue sky, sun an orange ball. pileated woodpeckers calling in woodlot.
20:50, 78F, clear. stars out and bright. milky way arching over the farm. both dippers and north star showing. waxing crescent moon yellow in the west over the sheep barn. beautiful night.
