07:30, 75F, thick fog. sun's up but fog obscures it. roosters crowing. guardian and pup wrestling in front yard. crows calling. fed chickens. sheep heading for pasture. hoagie left-overs for breakfast. foolishly hung out a wash.
11:00, low tide rising at CK. roseate spoonbills dabbling on a mud flat. east wind, 8 knts. 80F. hazy and overcast.
fed cat. mended bait seine and stowed in shed for next month. radar showed rain offshore that grazed the mainland but never went inland. worked on trawl. picked up bag of clams from a friend.
15:00, a mist. high tide at #4 bridge. great herons in the spartina. NW wind, 5 knts. 82F. a horse, belly deep in temporary ponds gazing into the distance. wild turkeys in cow pasture.
15:40, 78F at back door. wash soaked on the line. trees dripping. got 2 eggs. left wash for tomorrow.
19:30, 75F, fog building in pasture. guardian and pup barking at deer in donkey woodlot. steamed clams and a plum for dinner.
21:00. 74F, mostly cloudy, foggy. some stars showing. dark out there. guardian patrolling sheep pasture.

4.5 inches of rain so far this week. other folks have had more. clothes don't dry. sheep yard is a marsh. mushrooms growing in the hay ring. not wanting anything tropical this year.
