06:50, 74F, foggy. waning gibbous moon over sheep barn. roosters crowing. orange sun behind pink clouds. guardian patrolling yard. walked pup. definitely moving into deep summer.
11:30, 87F, sunny, blue skies. mosquitoes. wash on the line. sheep coming in from the pasture. guardian snoozing under truck shrugs off pup. early summer is long past. mature greens cloth the trees and shrubs. got 3" of rain these past few days. all the rain is fueling lush growth everywhere. yard is a jungle except for mowed areas. 4 o'clocks have taken over big sections of back yard. vines - potato, grape, wisteria, and virginia creeper - festoon most of the trees. clouds moving slowly from the west but negligible breeze on the ground. a lazy day.
18:00, 83F, partly cloudy. clothes dry and taken in. got 2 eggs. swept kitchen floor.
21:20, 78F, hazy. a few stars. mosquitoes.
