05:50, 73F, overcast. wolf light. roosters crowing. songbirds twittering in bushes. guardian out prowling. dixie barking under house. brief walk with pup. coffee...
09:30, 79F, sunny. 2 turkeys run across the road. 6-8 black, bristly piney rooter piglets with larger pig rootin in the swampy ditches.
10:00 high tide falling at CK. 78F, east wind, 10 knts. frigate birds circling on the wind.
fed cat. wet lab, recording fish workup.
16:10, low tide falling. west wind, 5 knts. clouding up. dark clouds to east. taking 347 to crossroads country store for gas. 2 more turkeys cross road. swallow-tail kites working the swamp treetops. water is high in the swamps and creeks.
19:30, 85F. overcast. needed to take wash in before it rained, not after it started raining.. not doing chores in a downpour.
20:30, 83F. soggy out. overcast, no moon, no stars. crickets and frogs carrying on. 2 fat armadillos down by sheep barn. pup got nuts. armadillos took off, right into barn! dragged pup away. no 'dilla bashin' tonight. good night moon, up there behind the clouds.
