north florida - wild florida - shearing day

05:30, 72F, overcast. walked pup and old russell. guardian not around. roosters crowing. muffin for breakfast. getting my papers together.
08:10 78F, gray and overcast. getting ready for shearing. hoping that drizzle is all we get.
12:20, 86F, overcast to mostly cloudy. lucked out with rain. finished shearing, bagged wool. cleaned up. had to move one recalcitrant sheep by wheelbarrow to shearing barn. most were good. 3 people working including myself. thanks scott and jonathan. sheep grumbling but finally cool.
13:30, 88F, mostly cloudy, some sun. checked on sheep. gave special hay to sheep and a little to donkeys. walked pup with guardian. hanging out a wash. got 4 eggs.
21:10, 72F, mostly clear. lovely looks-like-a full moon hanging in the ESE. some stars. all quiet outside except for the crickets. good night.
