07:05, 39F, clear. roosters crowing. getting tired of being cold. house temperature, 60F. big dog fight between dixie and guardian when guardian was out running around with pup and dixie went to eat guardian's left-overs. had to beat on them with a switch. a lot of yelling and cussing. dixie sustained a wound in her ear. damn dogs. always protecting food they have no interest in eating until someone else wants it, including the crows.
09:35, 52F, sunny. rooster still crowing. took me a half hour to complete this entry. damn dial-up. grrr..
11:10, medium low tide rising at CK. sunny, east wind, 5 knts. 56F. ducks all to the east.
fed unseen cat. long general meeting.
church was moving. good serman on the apostles' confusion, turning to hope, ending in faith. south wind, 3 knts.
15:30, high tide with light chop at sand spit. folks fishing. a catamaran being launched off the beach. remembering easter week-ends on the island where I grew up ...
shrimp guy was out so got a lb. moe said he saw the infamous gator by #4 bridge last week. "in the mangroves. his head was this big.." indicating a meter or so long. I haven't seen that gator in awhile. I was thinking that his tail might have ended up in someone's fryer but I guess not.
high tide with ducks at #4 bridge. 62F, west wind, 10 knts.
17:30, 68F, sunny. got 6 eggs. little red hen started laying again. tangerine tree blooming. what a scent!
19:20, 63F, pink/rose/tangerine sunset. clear.
21:10, 57F. stars dynamite! orion!, jupiter, sirius ... dippers misty. shooting star across dippers!
a bitter-sweet day.

thanks, skyepony! it improved but I did run out of firewood again.. getting down to large logs at this point..
