06:30, 59F, foggy. a drizzle on and off. roosters crowing. dixie at back door. pup out with guardian. lamb bottles heating up. sheep poke through woodlot at dawn.
10:30, high tide rising at CK. 63F, SE wind, 7 knts. great herons fishing off the spartina banks. egrets roosting in black mangroves.
fed cat. finished mending the 10 by 10 by 10 cubic feet of the bag in the 600 ft. seine. only 300 more feet to go.
14:00, high tide falling at #4 bridge. 65F, SE wind, 6 knts. big flock of ducks out by oyster bar and more back in the marsh. egrets still in mangrove.. meeting gas guy for service call on hot water heater. could use a shower.
19:00. gas guy never showed. I was vexed.. lurid sunset. mostly cloudy. got 1 egg. have to be careful about leaving eggs on drainboard. pup swiped 2 yesterday.
21:10, 67F, clearing gradually. waxing half-ish moon (1st quarter) making an appearance near the zenith. some stars. whiff of skunk. it's breeding season.
