07:30, 41F, clear. roosters singing. yellow dogs and guardian at back door. pup out. fried fish for breakfast. might share a little. lamb bottles heating up. sheep in their woodlot poking through the leaf litter. all evergreen oaks - laurel, live, chapman - are loosing their leaves now and putting out new ones so that many have a pink-green haze about them. sheep watching for any fallen new growth.
12:10, 75F, east breeze. got 3 eggs. 5 deer in back yard by reddog's grave where I planted some rye. let sheep into yard to mow the rye and lawn.
14:20, 83F in the sun at the back door. hung out wash. began spring cleaning.
17:10, 72F, SE breeze. thin cloud cover, a haze. sheep back in fold, in their barn, chewing their cud. wash almost dry.
19:10, 61F, wind switched to westerly. smoke is back. the rancher with the cows - on my southern and western boundaries - is burning oaks again, way back to the SW. a mist. orion, jupiter up there. miss the moon.
