08:00, 44F, light fog. slept late. pup woke me up. let her out. yellow dogs and guardian at back door. everyone got breakfast. roosters mostly quiet now. gotta hustle. lamb bottles heating up. another day.
11:10, low tide at CK. a haze. 57F, SW winds, 6 knts. cormorants on oyster bar. ducks on edge of channel. the big nest in the pine across the street from the lab seems vacant again. owls have disappeared, at least during the daytime. ospreys rebuilt the nest in the big pine by 24 and have been photo-captured by tourists.
finished mending trawl. fed cat.
got an oil change for truck. convenient, on the island, downtown..
16:10, medium tide falling. these neap tides are confusing. NW winds, 10 knts., 61F. ducks in the shallows. herons hunting. kingfisher on the wire. chilly but sunny.
17:20, 68F at back door. walked dogs. mixed lamb milk. got 1 egg. hazy, smoky out. 3 deer behind workshop.
18:50, 63F, stars coming out.
20:20, 60F, hazy/smoky. with bright stars.
