06:50, 58F, overcast. rained last night. heard drops on the tin just before I fell asleep. got about 0.2". roosters crowing. guardian out front. yellow dogs nowhere to be seen. probably under the house getting fleas. they'll be dry and scratching. guardian was fairly damp. no moon, no sunrise. looks like clearing to the west. lamb bottles heating up.
10:30, high tide at CK with the usual ducks. east wind., 10 knts. 58F. some sun. lab cat starving.
fed cat. no net mending today. fuel shed needs overhauling. love throwing out old boots and other assorted gear.
16:00, kinda high tide at #4 bridge with less ducks. herons fishing in the tide. white pelicans off to the south. SE wind, 2 knts. 62F.
16:30, 71F, mostly cloudy at the farm.
17:40, 68F. got 6 eggs. lambs fed. chores done except for feeding dogs who are surrounding the back door.
19:00, 66F, overcast. no stars. smokey since wind shifted. more deer eyes reflecting from cactus field. rerouted evening walk to west, past sheep barn. owl hooing, dog barks, owl hooing, dog barks.

The number of people talking about fleas in February this year is disturbing. May be a bad year for them.
