07:05, 34F, clear. waning full moon setting through the oaks in the donkey woodlot. roosters up. yellow dogs out and about. lil pup misbehaving. jumped the fence into the donkey field. turned and returned when she heard the tone of my voice. good pup. guard dog and pup inside for the morning, eating the last biscuit. raisin
muffin for breakfast. red susnrise. new lamb in barn. gray's the mother. both seem fine. will look for placenta later.
09:00, very low moon/solstice/blow-out tide at CK. all bars, banks, flats exposed. 38F, north wind 7 knts. ducks in the channel. brr.
church was good, warm even.. sang some great Christmas carols. sandspit reaching out to piney point. ducks in that channel.
11:25, 42F, NE wind, 9 knts. no lab cat at lab. put food out anyway. got fixin's for pot roast.. still low tide at #4 bridge. herons out fishing.
12:00, cows lying down.. no rain predicted so they must be tired. sun bathing cows. 48F, slight northerly breeze at farm. fed lambs, walked pup, started pot roast.
18:10, 42F, calm and clear. got 3 eggs. started fire in fireplace with more damp wood. had to use a lighter knot to get things going. been cold all day. house, 54 before fire got going. 60F now.
21:10, 39F, waning full moon shining through pecan trees to east of house. jupiter nearly overhead. orion in the SE, climbing over to the west.. good night moon.
