06:40, 35F, a mist. frost on sheep pasture and cactus field. pups out. lambs fed. littlest lamb did not make it. dixie at back door. breakfast with gravy to all dogs and cat. roosters singing. cardinals wondering when sunflower seeds will arrive.
7:50, 37F, mostly cloudy, some sun. did a wash. buried lamb. fed chickens. rain predicted on the radio. hope wash will dry. need feed.
10:50, low tide at CK. 50F, east wind, 8 knts. ducks in the channel. great blue and great white herons in the marsh. partly sunny.
finished mending the trawl. hard to sweep all the dry algae off the carpet.
15:00, 55F. clouding up. waiting for truck to get new fuel filter. old filter was wrong style, wrong year, clogged, and was extracted piecemeal.
15:40, SE wind, 10 knts. high tide at #4 bridge. ducks. heading for cowtown for feed and fuel. truck runs better.
17:20, 61F at the farm. cloud bank to the west. rainbow sundog in clouds during drive home. unloaded feed and 4 bales hay. got to hustle to get chores done before dark. wash dry. taken inside. dogs playing in the yard. lambs fed. all got hay.
19:30, 59F, overcast. no moon tonight. house cold. no wood, no fire tonight. guard dog barking.
