15, 36F, clear. cold in the house. let lil pup sleep in the kitchen last night. (and she behaved, snoozing all night on her new tractor supply dog cushion.) it was too cold to put her in the mud porch with her thin bull-dog fur. guard dog ready to come in the yard. she was wailing last night and the yellow dogs were backing her up.. roosters up. pumpkin pie and fresh coffee for breakfast. what a treat! getting light.
00, 56F. house cold, built a small fire in the fireplace.
30, 85F in the sun at the back door. partly cloudy. north breeze. a series of problems - broken screening, reddog collapsed, sheep gate fell apart - totally derailed my housecleaning plans for today. friends came over to help me put it back together again.
20, help with the chores. deer in the donkey woodlot in the mellow autumn light. sheep gate fixed, screens repaired temporarily for the winter, hole dug for reddog.
30, 59F, chill breeze. waxing gibbous moon bright in the east.
10, 53F, stars out, moon lovely. daughter called from korea. a plus..
