06:30, 38F, calm and clear. missed the meeting of the waning crescent moon and venus. but it felt so good sleeping until 6:15! yellow dogs at back door. guard dog off in the pasture leaving pup bereft so pup and I had breakfast and shared some bacon. roosters up.
07:30, 38F. cold out. guard dog returned from her rounds and was waiting to come into the yard when pup and I went out, stuffed with bacon. all dogs gave pup a stare.. must have smelled the bacon. crows calling. perhaps I can finish putting the rest of the rye seed out.
09:40, 52F, blue skies. sunny. hanging the wash out. chores. house dank and cold. built a small fire in the fireplace. wood smoke outside..
14:50, 69F, sunny. pup removed most of sox from clotheline. pup in crate. another wash. planted hickory nuts in cactus field.
18:30, 62F, misty. chores done. fire cozy in the house. guard dog with sheep. barking in the distance.
