07:05, 69F at back door, 71F in front. and so much for that.. roosters up, sun's up too. yellow dogs at back door. squirrels playing in cabbage palm. donkeys braying. dogs yodeling.
09:00, medium tide. flock of ibis. church was good. got a sub at the market and headed for home.
snagged a paper at the jiffy on the way out.
14:30, 96F, slight NE breeze, partly cloudy. hot. vegetable garden all wilting although I watered it 2 nights ago. put water on it again.
heading for g'ville and high springs to pick up a dog. actually raked out the truck some. and gave the russell a bath because she was complaining about fleas. that'll teach her to complain ...
15:20, encountered a heavy band of rain just east of bronson. then another band around I-75. otherwise, gray, damp, and muggy in g'ville.
18:00,overcast and green in the rural landscape in north central fl. lots of cows. new guard dog a charmer.. we'll see how she's accepted.
21:00 returned to the farm at sundown. we might have had a brief shower. the dust wasn't so bad. rushed through chores with new dog. 1 year old and never seen a sheep.. seen goats though. nature vs. nuture.. stay tuned.
21:50, 78F, waxing crescent moon in hazy sky. streaks of clouds hiding and uncovering stars.
