07:10, 68F at the farm and foggy.
10:30, high tide at CK, mid-70's, SSW breeze.
yesterday, 5-3-12, we sampled the fish populations between east pass and deer island. mid-70's, extreme high tide, SW wind 10-12, mostly cloudy. water temps ran between 24-25.5C, 75-77F. a great day. almost like a fall day after a hot august. caught a lot of stingrays, 3 kinds.. and a bunch of huge black drum. some ladyfish and mullet. bait seine pulled in mostly anchovies and one big blunt nosed ray. saw one little gator, a bald eagle, and a few ducks in the back creeks. the horse flies were bad but it was such a great day it didn't matter. worked in water up to my shoulders twice. I love my job!
22:30, 75F at the farm, dogs and I sat out and watched the waxing gibbous moon shine from behind the clouds. no stars but a large ring a fair distance from the moon.
