Nov. 4, 2012 - Prayers are really needed as the people out East will have another hit this week from a Nor'Easter. So many are still in desperate need of help.

Not much happening in our part of the country knock on wood. I wonder when we will have our first snow?

Any takers for a contest of our first date for over 2" at O'hare? (official Chicago recording site) Post what date you think it may be and we'll figure out what prize or fun we can have.

Interesting new feature. Thank you both BF and Sandi, for bringing me that news. Hope they work the bugs out for you Sandi. Still working on end of the month closings (uhm...delay after delay and pulling my hair out) Went to a Christmas party last night for a company. They had a great band and we even danced. Hard to get moving today for work though. Can't party like I used to, lol. Don't even need a coat here during the daytime Sandi. It's been so mild. Mornings are about the same as there though and could require scraping or warming up the vehicles. Hate to say this, but we need rain. Jinx! Ok off to babysit well tests (sheesh). An IPad has a touch screen, which means it is very fluid. By opening your fingers on the screen you can enlarge what you are looking at. The Community Activity should be at the bottom of the page, as it is on a laptop, or desk top computer, but on the tablet it has a habit of floating to the top of the screen, as each new comment is posted. Prayers up for the Phillippines. So many killed and injured and in shelters. Looks like snow will really be headed into Chicago Sunday/Monday. Just short of our record of the 16th for no snow. Not weather related, but -- Today I have a huge task. My seller has pnemonia and we urgently need to cap off an old chandelier outlet (caps are on the ends of the wires, just needs the plate) Problem is, it is up in a huge two story foyer in the middle of the ceiling. It is not near the wall for a regular tall ladder, or near the landing. I have no idea how Im going to do this but it HAS to be done today for an FHA re-inspection for loan approval. Hi Ylee, whew!!! DONE. It was a bit hairy but we did it! I rented some scaffolding with the adjustable feet. My son and I put it together and stacked it but to do the stabalizing bars, I was a bit too short and not quite strong enough. So, I phoned another Realtor who is actually working on this one with me and he came to help. I am determined to get the young couple who are buying it, in by Christmas! We didn't need an electrician because the wires were already capped. They may want a new chandelier or a new ceiling fan or ? We just had to cap it off with a plate. Everyone I called was going to take like a week and $300 bucks! So...FINE...I'll do it myself! The whole thing was time and like $27 bucks for the rental. I bought my son lunch. And he is also trying to get out to Colorado (Ever since he took his sister out there a few weeks ago he has the bug, too. Runs in the family) I will be helping him with that a little bit in payback. No choking on bones allowed buttt... We went to a different place. Uhm...the guys ordered 2 wings for testers. The wings were not cooked through!!!!! OMG. The establishment had quite an angry group on their hands. Critical error, critical! With Chicken??? Wow. So anyway we ended up having only two and ordered some other items. The restaurant made good on the mistake. Looks like the record of days in between snows could be in jeopardy after all...we may be on the warm side of the precip on Monday! Hmmmm. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I do also feel we should be broadcasting conservation of Lake Michigan water NOW...this is not good. Hello everyone! Yes, just North of us got a 'Real' snow storm! We dodged that bullet and really have had some good rain. I think the soils have just had a nice chance to soak in what we've had. Wab, I didn't measure or look, either so not sure how much fell. No snow yet though. Temps look like they could drop and give us just a little accumulating snow early in the AM. OZ, your Dau got hit rather hard! Hope they are all dug out before the work week. Hope you can keep those boys at bay, LOL. Sounds like you have your hands full ;) Boomer and Molly have been in and out, and there is so much going on, I haven't been able to see straight! We did put up our decorations and tree. Hoping to get a new blog up late tonight, Sandi. But, it won't be too Grand...I don't really have any kitty or doggy pics in front of the tree. Oh well... Sandi, it appeared you have another nasty low headed your way :( from your map on your site. Hunker down once again. Wow you've had too much there! BF, EQ forecast, lol. It's been quite a bumpy couple of days for many parts of the world. Poor Phillippines! and Japan, etc... Thanks for the comments on the 'project'. It was an extreme measure taken because the lenders take so long with opening their vaults,the moths are flying around at our closings! If we don't give them ANY reason to deny a loan--we may, MAY get lucky and actually get it done. You have nooooo idea. (glad I'm starting a new blog...maybe that will be a good fresh state of mind) ooops rant rant! Anyhoooo you BF, I hope you are happy, healthy, having all kinds of merriness and joy whopping it up! Ylee, 57 could have possibly put you in the severe? Maybe? I haven't had time to look, but hoping none of the tornado alerts passing on my text screen were for your parts. I think you are gone til Thurs? Hope you have a great week and get tons done before Christmas. Ok all...off to edit some pics and figure out a new blog. It may be KISS, muah! Just the facts, maaam, jus the facts...and this is my tree...it has lots of lights, and these are my stairs, they twinkle at night...lol hmmmm I think I'll run w/it hey!
