sure!!!
Sorry to hear you have had some health issues but it sounds as if you are getting to grips with it, yes thank you my flu is going!
Lost again at the dog show, beaten by my major opposition, don't mind losing to a better dog but when everybody outside the ring says "you were robbed" its a little frustrating. My girl got beaten by my friends pup but as I bred her father I am not dissappointed with that thats why we breed to improve!
I understand the cleaning thing even if we are leaving in the middle of the night everything has to be clean and in its place ready for when we come back.
In case I don't get back to the blog, safe journey and I hope you have a fabulous trip!
I am thinking it is muscular, and not the bone this time. Long story. But it involves falling at 19 mph and her arm falling through the tow rope and being dragged...until it BROKE! The rope I mean! Uhm that's like unheard of! everyone's nightmare to get caught in the rope. Well the little thing broke and she was saved.
Well, I hope it works out ok. But, we ended up having just the best day together in spite of the injury. And, it was a day I'll cherish w/ my kids forever. Her brother came to her rescue and so did I. W just all hung out making sure she was ok and tomorrow we have to do the caT scans, etc...We are...what we are. We live with a dare devil! I have since she was born.
Need to really catch up on Isaac. Basically, my schedule has now made me on vacation. I can catch up on storms and watch during the day until I get to the Sequoias about a week or so from now.
Night all ships at sea or in port or where ever you may be. Stay safe. Trains are going to bed and so am I. :) Stay away Isaac. Stay away train...
Update on Mom: She is still here in Illinois and not in Delray Beach, (Palm Beach County/SE Coast of FL) I am so glad about that. Worried for all our other friends though. Gams, Ogal, Finn, etc...
Plus, my elderly Aunt in Coral Gables. But she's lived there since 1956 so she doesn't worry, just me. lol
So, Isaac is quite interesting. You know I've watched hurricane history for a long time, since I was a kid, but not formally or scientifically or as long as most of you.
So, generally I don't comment on Hurricanes much because I don't know enough. However, I don't like Isaac's size. He's so big and even if he stays a TS, he's just going to cause trouble for Haiti and many, many other areas with rain and flooding.
Don't like his size. Watching how that core comes together, too, tonight. Fascinating. Just fascinating and really quite beautiful.
Anyone know how the Ships model is on intensity as far as accuracy percentage? Ships has it pretty strong.
But it will do what it will do. Why does it remind me of Debby? Ok I digress...
I have it a bit west of the track now, but that's seriously a guess. Still FL though and a TS. Just my hunch. hey, least I buried the hunch in a bunch o rambling text...no science and I know it....just hunch.
Update on Dau's arm: It was a sprained elbow. 19mph yank off the boat did NOT re-break the humorous! Yay. Doctor took the first x-ray of the humorous since last year's complete snap. It healed so nicely! A little bit ugly cosmetically, but gorgeous to an orthopedic! textbook. Heard more stories about Mad city hospital interns being involved in the setting of that bone. They were paraded in. Dau was a textbook intern study for a snapped humerous (sp? W/e). So, yesterday when she got hurt, she almost passed out in the water cause she freaked and thought she snapped the bone again. She held it together so she wouldn't drown and re-assessed while the boat turned around. Her boyfriend got in the water and treaded water to lift her straight up onto the boat. (whata guy!) She really had to hold it together to assess the damage. I work right across the street from the lake so, I went. Picked her up and we were off to the doc within an hour. A doctor visit is good. Usually it's an ambulance ride or ER for dau. Anyway, she did good. She's been working out all summer. Running 3 to 5 miles a day. Working abs. Working the arms for strength to do the tricks on the wake board. It paid off to help that arm be strong. She'll do physical therapy to heal the sprain in the elbow. They ARE treating it as a serious injury. But you can tell the mood is upbeat and not critical. Yay.
Ok ramble scramble...and now back to Isaac lurking. Night all ships and be safe my peeps on the bays!
Gotta play footloose because Isaac is basically footloose tonight. Peace out!

Hmmm Wow. Footloose was a good tune for Isaac at the bottom of the last post. :-0

You can now go on holiday and TRY to relax!!!!
Have fun :)
Not packed yet for California. And work was insane today. Will just barely escape out of town Sat. morning and run as fast as we can.
Can't decide if I'm taking my laptop. It's older and really heavy. Hubby has one but all my hurricane links and weather links are here. He has conference stuff until basically Wednesday. So will be on my own to hang at the pool or such until we take off for the trip to the Sequoias and Cambria, etc...Or maybe I'll figure out how to get to the beaches. I'm not a big beach person. I'd rather be fishing or something. We'll see.
Have watched as much as I could to keep up on Isaac and am still going to hang on the main until I crash.
Stay safe all ships, have a great day tomorrow.
Add: WG :) Happy, healthy and livin it!

Hope you guys have a great time out there and see as much as you can.Weather should be great too.
Busy with the new blog, but I have to stop by and say hello before your trip!
Have a great time, and remember, DON'T FEED THE BEARS!!! ;-)
Thanks all for stopping with your farewell wishes. Ylee, BEARS???!!!
I'll post pics tomorrow and will be watching Isaac and anything else which may happen through the week. Son already has the dogs here for house sitting and they are making things chaotic, too.
To all my pals on the coasts (and in TN Valley), STAY SAFE and will be thinking of you! Hugs! Luvs ya!
Isaac landfall in Haiti :( Prayers up, candles lit. Glad he wasn't bigger.
Glad you made it there safely; I assume your luggage made it there, too?
Catching up on Isaac and really just have caught warnings from twitter from WU and NHC etc...but noticed the water vapor loop. Did he split in two? East of FL? Maybe that was old and he was just getting bigger.
These, and other questions answered in 5, 4, 3, 2 1 blast off into the main...I'm goin in, wish me luck! Thanks for stoppin bogon.
Maybe I'd better get another one of these...maybe.
If you were on docks, I doubt you felt quakes, but more just the movement of the water. Sounds like you have a wonderful trip planned! Hope you are enjoying the weather, although for me, it's a bit too hot. If you get a chance to come to Seal Beach - I can recommend some good restaurants and you can walk on our wooden pier!
Hope you are having a good time!
You are going to some beautiful country! Enjoy!
Enjoy your days in California!
Wishing you White Rabbits, White Rabbits, White Rabbits
and a FUN and SAFE month of September!
Not sure when you are heading home, but I am so glad you are having fun - earthquakes and all!
Thank you for the wishes and for stopping in. New blog shortly.
I still need to sort through all the pics and get them posted on WUphotos before it's too late. Then, I'll come back and do a slide show or something.
Went back to work today (oh like they all left me alone on vacation? NOT!) Yesterday it was laundry and basic recovery time. Today, work craziness!
But we had a trip of a lifetime! It was just amazingly cooool.
Ok here's a brief vid with foreplay (heh heh) No, really the song on the radio in the background is Foreplay. Bit of a teaser until I get the slideshow done. Ttfn!
P.S. Ylee, I'll try to put the photos so you can see them. This song on the radio is Boston - 'Foreplay'-just before 'Long Time'

One tornado warning I saw earlier and now a watch and several warnings for Counties just above mine (Walworth, Kenosha) and it may clip me, too.
Not liking the bow action for heading over the lake. Heads up Milwaukee, Kenosha, Waukegan NE corner of IL and over the lake.
They did call a watch for all of Northern IL. That's mua.
MESOSCALE DISCUSSION 1885
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0830 PM CDT TUE SEP 04 2012
AREAS AFFECTED...CNTRL/E-CNTRL WI...NERN IA...FAR WRN UP OF MI...FAR
NRN IL
CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 614...
VALID 050130Z - 050230Z
THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 614
CONTINUES.
SUMMARY...LOCAL EXTENSION OF THE WW WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED AS TSTM
ACTIVITY CONTINUES TO PROGRESS EWD AND MOVES OUT OF THE CURRENT
WATCH AREA. TSTM ACTIVITY SHOULD CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER HOUR OR TWO
BEFORE BEGINNING A WEAKENING TREND.
DISCUSSION...TSTM ACTIVITY ACROSS THE WATCH AREA HAS EVOLVED INTO
THREE SEPARATE LINE SEGMENTS. THE FIRST IS MOVING EWD ACROSS LAKE
SUPERIOR AND ONTO THE WRN COAST OF MICHIGAN/S UPPER PENINSULA. THIS
ACTIVITY HAS SHOWN SOME INTENSIFICATION DURING THE PAST HOUR BUT A
DIMINISHING TREND IS ANTICIPATED AS THE BOUNDARY LAYER CONTINUES TO
COOL. THE SECOND IS ACROSS CNTRL WI AND HAS EXHIBITED AN INCREASE IN
FORWARD-PROPAGATION DURING THE LAST HOUR. LATEST KGRB RADAR IMAGERY
SHOWS THE OUTFLOW IS BEGINNING TO PUSH AHEAD OF THE LINE AND A
WEAKENING TREND IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT HOUR WITH THIS LINE OF
STORMS AS WELL. THE THIRD IS MOVING SWD ACROSS SRN WI INTO FAR NWRN
IA AND POSSIBLY NRN IL. THIS SEGMENT EVOLVED FROM A CLUSTER OF
SUPERCELLS AROUND AND SE OF LSE AND THE ARX VAD WIND PROFILE SHOWS A
DECENT REAR INFLOW JET SIGNATURE. THIS SIGNATURE HAS BEEN GRADUALLY
WEAKENING AS THE LINE MOVES FARTHER S. THE MATURE NATURE OF THIS
LINE MAY ALLOW IT TO CONTINUE FOR LONGER THAN THE OTHER TWO LINES
PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED...BUT IT TOO WILL ENCOUNTER AN INCREASINGLY
MORE STABLE ENVIRONMENT AS THE BOUNDARY LAYER COOLS/DECOUPLES. THE
ERN PORTION OF THE LINE /NEARING MKE/...HAS RECENTLY ACCELERATED EWD
AS THE OUTFLOW PUSHES SEWD. THIS SEEMS TO SIGNAL THAT THIS PORTION
OF THE STORM WILL BEGIN WEAKENING SHORTLY BUT IT MAY REMAIN CAPABLE
OF PRODUCING A FEW SVR GUSTS IN NRN IL. A DOWNSTREAM WW MAY BE NEED
ACROSS THIS AREA.

Night all ships.
So glad you had "the trip of a life time".
I have spoken to Karen, and I have never heard her say "dippity doo dah, or Wowza" !!! lol
Hope your ready for the feel of fall this coming week, pretty chilly air will be descending on the northern states, and also diving south.
Thankfully we will miss Leslie this weekend, although it looks like Bermuda may take a pounding.
Anyway Glad to have you back safe and sound,it really sounds like you had a great trip.
Hiya NEw! Thanks on the photos complement (Sandi, and others from last night, too) I have more ----LOTS more, LOL. And looks like tonight is shaping up to be dayjaview (That was for Sandi :)
MCD to follow below
Sweatshirt weather huh? Good because I'm totally out of summer clothes. Leslie and Michael! (He smells like cookies I hear, all the ladies love him) and Son of Isaac wow! It's a lot to keep a handle on and let's hope they all play nice! (wishful thinking). Mom goes back to Delray on the 11th of Sept. uhg! Why I can't convince her to stay through end of Hurricane season is beyond me.
Anyhooo, Alaska got creamed eh? Sheesh, hope they all get their power back soon. Bad un up there! that's not a good omen for the Fall season. Why do I feel a LOWcomotive may be headed our way? Better check out the models.
Oh yeah, the MCD dayjaview of last night. Lather, rinse, repeat...
