December 11, from 13 degrees yesterday morning, to 48 degrees today. Crazy extremes, but we'll take it!

December 9, We are having quite an interesting start to December and winter with mild temps so far and no snowpack. We received only a dusting last night, not even a 1/2 inch.
Tonight brings in the coldest temperatures since last winter--we drop into the single digits. Be careful all, take care of pets and know where your teens are. Enjoy the days before the holidays!

November 30, 2011 - I have a feeling it is going to be a loooong Month of December. Wind is gone (thank goodness) but it is colder and we will see light snow or flurries. The winds of October & November were amazing for 2011! Some day those stats are going to show up somewhere.

Will be adding photos and more CHRISTMAS items as the month goes on... for now, enjoy each single moment of the season!!!

Nov. 11, 2011 Veterans Day --Thank you all Veterans!
Looks to be warming through the weekend, but by late Sunday?/Mon. Rain comes in. May be last call for Fall cleanup in mild temps??? Have a great weekend all.

Nov. 7, 2011 Work week started fairly pleasant this morning, but seems to be downhill from here thru Wednesday. Chance of 2-3" of rain, but can't seem to get a handle on where the line will be for the heavier part of it in N. IL. We may not see that much. Chance of thunderstorms are mentioned as well.

Downstate, south just a bit, it will be a completely different story with more activity, as indicated by the SPC.

Cold Wednesday, but then heading back to pretty nice temps by the weekend if the forecast holds up. Maybe we should do the Christmas lights, lol. These milder temps can't hold out forever! Have a great week all!

November 3, 2011 - On into November we go. It's a blustery, wet day in Chicagoland today with clearing expected this afternoon, but winds taking a little longer to die down.
May not be many leaves left when this is over, but that is ok. It was an amazing Fall here in Northern Illinois, well enjoyed.
Hoping for an un'event'ful November with Punkin Pie for all! Take care all ships in port or at sea or wherever you may be.
