Hey, it's raining...

...and windy. Hey, it's raining and windy.... Why do I think I'll be writing that most of this week? Glad last weekend was a little bit of all right. Blowing a gale at the moment. At least it's warm. :-)

Still working on the synopsis for the Amazon/Penguin contest, and it's harder than writing the entire silly book (okay, it's not silly, I've heard from others that it's pretty darn good and I actually stand a chance). :-) Still, 300 words describing it is harder to write than the 112K+ words of the entire thing.... It's taking more time than I thought it would. It's also taking all my attention (except for re-reading "Paradise Lost," which is better read again when you're older than when you're in High School). :-)

Hope everyone's having a great Wednesday! JM

JM! We're frozen! Not only has the bottom dropped out of the mercury, but Old Man Winter has thrown us a new trick for the new year... WIND! Eielson was reporting a wind chill of 60 below last night and I'm too scared to look this morning! LOL. NWS has issued a wind chill advisory until 6 tonight (revised from last night which was 6 this morning). I guess you brought a little bit of Rawlins back here with you. You didn't have to leave it here, though! :-)

Good luck with your synopsis!

It's currently 47 in Craig and 33 here in New Orleans. Clouds moved in today and the high temps are hovering just above freezing. NWS says we're in for a "long duration freeze" tonight through the entire weekend. What topsy turvy weather!

Nice to see you back Jittery. Our weather down here in Florida is feeling a lot like Alaska! :)

Thanks! :-) Still blowing a gale out there, and I wonder if we'll ever get mail again (wink). It's been REALLY dry here, too. It's nice to have the rain now, but we've had more rainless days than rainy days since we've been here. Apparently, a lot of the folks who live outside the organized towns and villages use rain catchement systems for water here. I'm sure the dearth of rain is starting to make people nervous.

I'll probably walk around and take more pics today. Thanks for the kind words! JM

Hey, you are currently the same temperature, 43F, as we are in Livermore, CA. But, you have rain and we don't. Unless it picks up for the rest of January and into spring, we are looking at one of the driest years in the 16 years that I've kept track.

I'm still anticipating more photos of metropolitan Craig. I hope you can put the lid on your synopsis soon. Even more, I hope you win.
