Rain...Now Freezing Rain....

...and snow in the forecast for this afternoon. *sigh* It felt like Spring on Tuesday-Thursday morning (highs in the upper 40s and 50s), but it's January, and the weather's reminding us it's January. The REAL bummer is -- the Rawlins Music Academy was supposed to take a trip to Casper on Saturday to see the WY Symphony's dress rehearsal and meet the guest cellist (my son plays cello), but with all the snow and ickiness in the forecast, we may not be able to make the trip. The snow/rain/sleet/freezing rain is supposed to hang around until Tuesday. Katie actually slept in her doghouse (she sleeps outside when it snows, she really likes that) because the rain was just too much and too weird. She still has a Fairbanks coat, and I know I'm going to have to shave her again when it finally does warm up for good....

Hope everyone's having a great morning! Crunch time here for Bard-A-Thon. The Fairbanks one begins at midnight. I, at least, have until Sunday afternoon. Should be fun! JM

And tames the savage beast :-) That was my mom's thought on it, and I'm sure it was music that kept me safe and on the relatively straight and narrow through my teen years. :-)

JM,
Hope you get to Casper so your son can meet the guest cellist. We go to the St. Louis Symphony and they have a youth symphony. It is really motivational for the youth to get to interact with the professional players. I wish I had kept up my instrument. Music is wonderful for the soul.

I don't remember freezing rain in Wyo. Maybe we are having global warming!
