Spring, spring, spring, spring... I'm still waiting for the "turning point," although it looks like we may hit 35 on Monday! We have only a few more days of way-stupid-night-cold (although my chickens and vehicle are hating life at the moment anyway). I've finally broken through the gloom and started to get seeds ready to plant. I'm still hoping for the break that means I'll use less than 1/2 a cord of wood to keep the greenhouse from freezing beginning in mid-May (I usually keep the fire going until around June 1st). Sorry to be so long without a posting, but I'm drowning in Girl Scout cookies (anyone in the Valley need them? CALL ME!). The troops have sold over 1,000 boxes, and it's the first time for any of the girls to sell, so they're doing WONDERFULLY. Well, gotta run. Hope everyone's having a great (and warmer!) day!

Keep the faith. Plant them and spring will come.

Hey JM --

It's good to hear from you. So it sounds like the local temps are struggling upward ever so slowly.

Girl Scout cookies are great. I remember when I used to finish a box of the peanut butter sandwich cookies, almost before anyone else knew they were in the house.

Cheers -- geezer
