Too wild wind....

...I had to take the bell buoy wind chime down because the wind was blowing it around in circles and the wild "clang! clang! clang!" was just about to drive us crazy. The wunderground is showing gusts at the airport to about 20mph, but I'm thinking I've seen 30-35mph gusts here this morning. It's a LITTLE BIT calmer, but the light poles are still rockingand rolling, and I'm just waiting for the overhead lines near the house to give out. Someone once told me that a wind gust outside of Rawlins blew a train over. Yeah....I'll believe that. :-) On the other hand, it's warmer than it's been, it's a beautifully clear day, it's supposed to snow tomorrow morning, so we just can't win with summer here. It's blowing so bad that Katie's hanging out in her dog house just to get out of the wind. Poor thing.

Back to getting ready (fingers crossed) for Music in the Park. I've just about got everything ready to pack up to take over Thursday afternoon. I really hope this works!

Have a great day! JM

:-) She'd just chew it off. :-) Hey, I had the weirdest nightmare last night. It just goes to show you can be stressed and not know where it's really coming from. So, I'm standing at the gas pumps at Fred Meyer in Fairbanks putting gas into the old Explorer, and I turned away from the pump. I turned back when it clicked off and saw that I pumped 16.5 gallons and it cost $177.85 (that works out to about $10.77/gallon). TALK ABOUT HEART FAILURE! So, in my dream, Fred Meyer had recalibrated their machines to authorize credit cards for $200 worth of gas at a time (they'd gone from $75 to $100 a couple of months ago). I didn't MEAN to spend that on gas! Eeeekkkk! I woke up and just couldn't shake the image of that silly pump.

No snow this morning. Hooray! But it was building last night like it was going to do something. I guess it all went around us. A little on the cool side this morning, so I'm going to go out and check the container tomatoes and make sure they're okay.

More later! JM

Hey JM you should be singing " it's snowing in Yellowstone da,da,de dit da, 3 to 10 inches worth da, da, de, dit, da. Rawlins is next."

We have sever thunderstorms warnings here, but near the the coast its cool and foggy.

Just about the whole garden is planted how except the green beans and soy beans and they will go in this weekend.

Best of luck, hope it all works out for you.

Haven't you heard of a doggy wind breaker for Katie?
