Short Term(Today-Monday)

Currently there is a frontal system passing through the Tallahassee area that will pass through in the short term period. High for today for will be around 60F which is slightly below seasonal averages for this time of the year. Low for tonight will be around 35F which is around average temperatures for this time of the year. High for Sunday will be around 63F which is around seasonal averages. Sunday night/Monday morning lows will be 48F.

Long Term(Monday Afternoon-Friday)

The long term period begins with both the NAM and GFS being in good agreement with the coming precipitation that will be in the area on Monday afternoon. GFS model is slightly more aggressive than the NAM with an incoming low that will develop over the Gulf of Mexico. On Tuesday the NAM will be more aggressive than the GFS until the end of its period. The conclusion for the long term period is that since the two models start to diverge after Monday more observations will be needed so that the models will be in more sync more.

Short Term(Today-Monday Morning)

Currently there is a surface high pressure system dominating the area after the cold front. The high for today will be 58F which will be slightly below average temperatures for this time of the year. Tonight lows will be around 50F. This temperature will be above average tonight because of the cloud cover that is preventing any radiative cooling. Highs for Sunday will be around 63F which is around seasonal averages for this time of the year. The low for Sunday night/Monday morning will be around 60F. Again this is due to the cloud cover that is dominating the area and preventing any radiative cooling.

Long Term(Monday Afternoon-Friday)

The long term period begins to become active on Monday with an incoming cold front. The NAM and GFS models are in agreement with the passage of the frontal system. It will move through the area and clear out by Tuesday. After the passage there are no other frontal passages for the rest of the period. Temperatures during this period will be below seasonal averages during this time with improve temperatures during the latter of the period. Temperatures highs will range from the mid 30s to the low 60s by the end of the forecast period.
