This past Thursday marked why I issue a EXTREME WEATHER WARNING... power winds caused power outages to over 200k customers at one point. Damage was not hurricane scale because while intense and Extreme they were shorter lived. In this area I've issued forecasts but no longer will I try to do that. I am going to explain things like why I issue advisories to how I feel about weather. Right now by rule I marked for a Thunderstorm Advisory currently up. This means someone has issued a forecast with Thunderstorm possibilities. I've looked at a severe weather threat analysis and determine if any further watch/warning is needed if needed I will TRY to get one up but it is by any course my way of saying the threat is there in ANY storm but the potential is low overall.
