Although the New York City metropolitan area was largely spared, the Blizzard of 2015 is pulling no punches this morning across much of eastern New England. Some locations in Massachusetts have already topped two feet of snow, with heavy snowbands still pounding the Boston metropolitan area and Cape Cod, extending northeast into coastal Maine. Although the heaviest snow will exit New England later this afternoon, lighter snow could persist into tonight in some areas.

Blizzard Northeast with very cold conditions expected in the Northeast for the next 10-14 days.
I recently got together with the creative team at WeatherSTEM to create "Fishing and Weather", the first of many educational lessons that integrate the science of weather and bass fishing to make learning more fun! This was a tremendous experience, and I think that teachers, parents, and school administrators who are all struggling with the common core are going to be really excited about this project!
