This has been a fantastic weather week in the Bay Area. Blue skies, mild temps, low humidity. I wish it could be like this all year round...(except of course in Oct., Nov. and Dec. I prefer those months to be seasonal!)
Soon the wildflowers will be in full bloom and smiles from even the grumpiest of people will be seen. Can't wait for the strawberries too! I think straberries make grumpy people smile too =)
I am putting my widgets here in the header for anyone who cares to listen. Musically, my life is becoming more exciting. I guess you can never be too old to embark on a new path!
Quoting VR46L: That is so sad !:( I remember their biggest hit. Quite groundbreaking for the subject Matter ...
Mary how is Howie ?
I like Ring Me Up....too soon to go =(
Howie is doing pretty well. He will be having occupational therapy soon now. We needed to work on getting the right meds for the PDD first. Baby steps, you know =)
How are you Liz?

Just when you thought it was safe to enter this blog.....another gratuitous post featuring me singing and playing my beloved Roland XP30 (old synthesizer by today's standards, but I hope it lasts forever!)
Next week, tentatively, I will be going to my friends place to record in his home studio....hoping for a better quality recording. He happens to be an amazing pianist as well, so it's a win win! =)

Kirk and I have been buying some pieces of art. We used to buy art glass that we would after a time sell. We got extremely lucky and found these signed and numbered serigraphs, on two different occasions, at two different Goodwill locations. We can only assume the donors might have had a death in the family and did not know what they had. If you are responsible for the belongings of a loved one that dies, please take the time to research...especially if the work is signed. It took me very little effort to find Rick Kelley who painted the loons in Encore of Song II, and Amado M. Pena, who painted the Native American pieces. All four are fairly valuable. Be aware, check things out!

Sorry, but I have been preoccupied =( I have some little tumors in both pups that need to be removed. Not looking forward to that, but the doctor tells me if they don't come out, I will have cancer. My Mother had breast cancer and died in 2003, so this is serious business. I am hopeful though, since I should be able to avoid the Big C, at least in my breasts.
Sorry if that was TMI...
I hope you are well, and getting closer to complete recovery.

I recieved an appraisal from Amado M. Pena Jr. on the serigraphs we bought at Goodwill.
Was a very nice appraisal, and when we sell them, we stand to make a nice profit.
Again, I cannot stress enough how important it is to have an estate appraised. I'm not crazy about southwestern art/paintings, but just because they aren't my cup of tea, doesn't mean they aren't valuable. Go with your gut....if you suspect something might be of value, at the very least find a maker's mark/signature, and google. My husband has an excellent eye for art, and he is the one who purchased the Pena's. My job is to research, so dig I did, and it paid off.

Hi GardenGirl, actually, I live in SE Texas....subburb of Houston. I hope you and yours are well. Such a terrible thing. I have been praying for all. Thank you, I appreciate it =) If I remember correctly, this is familiar territory for you.
Liz, thanks, but like I said in mail, I am fine, and good and all that stuff. Just gotta do what I gotta do. If the truth were known, this is a walk in the park compared to the misery I have with menopause. I would give anything to be on HRT. I swear, sometimes I think they ouaght to send me, and women in my situation, to Afghanistan, because I can promise you I would scare those people into submission.
Hey Skye, Thanks and I will keep everyone posted. Oh yes, I am working on Bob! =) Thanks also for the support on Soundcloud!
