There's been three tornado warnings. I don't know what counties. Here is link to the severe weather warnings page in case you need it.

Here is Arthur visible at the end of today. Not as handsome as he seemed earlier.
This was 10:15 pm your time. Looks like some tall storms N of eye at the time. Be careful. If that hurricane's southern tail flips around and comes your way, duck!
:)
The red dots are the forecast track to the NE. In a few hours, Arthur will move along.

Dear friend, I'm thinking about you right now. Take care the best you can, and we'll all be happy when Arthur leaves for good.

I am so scared and I want Arthur to go away. It took all my strength just to peak in here.
I have no humour.
I am afraid.

Time for Arthur to turn.
Image from 1045edt, vis with forecast points. Forecast point near Arthur's eye is 1600z or 1100am edt.

FWIW, being satellite and all, yeah, he is/was a little west, right on time. And yeah, time to turn... Arthur, do you hear me? Time to turn, little beastie.

Good morning Huri, You and Bug have been on my mind lately with Arthur making a swipe at your area. Now it looks like your area is going to get a lot of the affects from this hurricane. I know you have a lot of experience in these things and you are prepared and probably leaving the area soon if it nudges even closer.

Just wanted to let you know I am watching this and hoping it is not too bad for you.
Take care and thanks for stopping by my blog this week!

Hi, Huri. I thought about you today when I heard on the radio that a state of emergency's been declared for the Outer Banks - I'm not quite clear on exactly where. I'll go look in just a bit. I'm glad to hear you're outside the cone, though it's always a concern when family or friends have to cope.

I'm really glad to see your post. I'll be keeping an eye on the storm along with you!

I have TS warning here. The cone comes mighty close to our coast, but Arthur is expected to stay out at sea. I'm hoping he likes it there, and turns away from your part of the coast also.

Okay. Okay. Wine and PBJ. You are prepared.
:)

I miss you. I am glad to see you. Sorry it has to be because this first storm heads in your direction. I am glad also that you are out of the cone. Did you check out the surge forecast map at the NHC? If not, you'll see it if you page down to the Arthur graphics.

Guess we just keep our eye on the trough now, and hope.

Hi Blizz,
How wonderful that you thought to come visit me during my time of silly distress! Thank you so much.

As I was saying earlier, I am now outside the cone, but not all our fam/loved ones are. I was very happy to see the slight shift of the trajectory earlier today. Sounds like this might just be a beautiful storm to watch and not hurt anyone. I haven't checked TV lately, but that's what I'll do next to see if they have decided on any evacs of those vacationing lower OBX. I do know Gov already declared SoE

Thank you for the beautiful flower, Prose.

Thanks BF -- yep a tropical storm watch and now warning is issued for coastal NC. HOWEVER, the cone is shrinking and I am no longer within it (being just barely north and inland). Hopefully with the next update, fam in Eliz City will be out of the cone too. Grocery stores were busy, but not terrible. I got milk for hubs and wine for me and PB&J makings.

hi hurgio! Watching Arthur for you... I think the worst of the impacts will remain to your south and east. My main concerns are beach erosion for this event across the Outerbanks.

The NHC discussion on Arthur this morning says they put up some watches. Not had enough coffee yet to know where. lol Take care. ttyl

Hello WCF-(at least OK is still W of me). Yep, we have time to prepare and wish that it does only good.
Hey Carolina Fina. I'm with you and thinking it will be a rainy day with a little wind and maybe some beach erosion on the OBX.

Thank you both for stopping by.

Hi ECF,
Been thinking of you and so happy to see your blog up. I don't know the answer to your question about the swirly-gig. Guess it is time to prepare just the same.

Be safe.
