Those that believed we were finished with wet, unsettled weather are in for a slight surprise, beginning today.
Our extended spell of warm, sunny and dry weather will come to an end, being replaced by clouds and showers. These showers will be scattered today, but increase tomorrow as the first of two cold fronts sweeps in from the northwest. Continuing in this vein, chances of precipitation seem best on Friday. The forecast models indicate that these chances could persist through next Tuesday.
Accompanying the clouds and showers will be cooler conditions, with maximum temperatures from five to ten degrees cooler than they have been the last couple weeks.
Will this be the last gasp of widespread rain and clouds until next autumn?
