A quick update. It appears the low may not be as strong as first thought, and if that is the case then the snow chance diminishes. Remember that I have been posting about my concerns. But, concerns aside, I still believe there is a chance for some flakes mainly in northern Baltimore and Harford Co and places west of Baltimore Co.
ACCUMULATION: This is preliminary but may become my forecast. Around Baltimore City we could see a dusting, and the further north and west you go an inch or 2. Over the PA line could see a bit more Those in S MD will see all rain.
Any shift in the location and strength of the low, as I stated in an earlier post, can change these numbers, but I am satisfied that this is what we will see. Any deviation from these accumulation rates will most likely be lower than I am predicting. If you are like me and want snow, do not be discouraged. This winter is forecast to be normal if not a bit above normal, so over the course of the winter we should see a total of a couple feet of snow. This is not our only shot.
I will post another update later Monday. Follow me on Twitter (@wxmanmd) and my Weather Phone will be updated as necessary: 443-470-9804
