Maryland storms Monday

A cold front is again pushing into our area, and ahead of the front storms are building.

CONDITIONS: Strong to severe thunderstorms possible.

TIMING: Expect storms to begin after 2:00 pm today for Central and Southern MD, although S MD could see the worst of the storms

THREATS: Wind and large hail are the main threats, although an isolated tornado is not out of the question, mainly in Southern MD.

TS DEBBY: Debby is moving, ever so slowly, in the direction I thought she would yesterday. The NHC now has her moving across FL (sound familiar?) by the weekend. I am still watching her for any MD impact, but I do believe she will go out to sea after crossing FL.

I would not be surprised to see thunderstorm watches/warnings posted as the day progresses. I will keep you updated. Follow me daily on Twitter (@wxmanmd) and my Weather Phone will be updated as needed (443-470-9804).
