'tis the Season......

With the last minute shopping done, packages wrapped, food prepared, we WERE going to have a quiet Christmas. Then..... long time not seen relatives show up, and the kids decide NOT to go away for Christmas. So, out again into the madhouse of last minute shoppers for more gifts and 2 am wrapping of presents. But on Christmas morn we enjoyed the grandkids opening their gifts, breakfast, and although it drizzled most of the day, it was still good to be with the family.
NOW, just 2 more days and the tree comes down, and all the decorations get put away for another year. Can't wait!

This time of year has gotten so commercial (The start of sales, etc., BEFORE Thanksgiving, it is hard to recognize what this season is really about. The friendship of others, the giving so others can enjoy, the helping of less fortunate families, the enjoyment of the little things that make us content, ALL make this a season to reflect and reminisce.
Even tho we all have our own difficulties, we can and do share what we have and are blessed with.
We hope Christmas was a very good time for all and may this New Year be "more better" ( as 4 yr old grandson Erik says).

BTW, is it winter yet? lows in the 60's, highs in the 80's.....Well......it is Florida. :-)
