Typical Autumn Day

Last night was our first hard frost this season. The temp dipped to 32F and everything was frost covered this morning.
Surprisingly enough, my flowers all pulled through except my coleus. I didn't attempt to save any of them since it is about time to pull them out and clean out the beds for the winter. Tonight, there will be another round of heavy frost so we'll see if they can survive again tonight.

Our high for today was supposed to be near 60F but it didn't happen. I think we made it to 55F and that was it. There wasn't much wind and when the sun did shine, it felt very warm. Tomorrow they are predicting low 60's so I hope it happens. We plan to go to the rail-trail up in St. Charles to do some biking so I'd like it to be a little on the warm side. Also they are saying light rain for late tomorrow. I'm hoping it holds off until we are done.

Next week our temps should be more normal and we could see some showers Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
