Living in Michigan can be exciting. We can have every weather condition known to man happening in the State at one time.

Here in Michigan, we've been having below normal temps since April. Now that we are finally getting up to normal, we're having a hard time handling them. Yesterday felt unbearable to even step outdoors, it was like walking into a sauna. Our high in Owosso yesterday was 90F and our low last night only made it down to 66F. And what usually happens in this type of weather, the evening ended on the stormy note. We were under a severe thunderstorm watch until about 11 PM. However, here where I am, we did not have anything "severe". There was quite a bit of thunder and lightning but most seemed to be missing us. We only received .2 inches of new rainfall. Then this morning, there was another line of storms which gave us 2 hrs of more thunder and lightning but not much rain. But with the 3.5 inches that we received on Saturday, we really didn't need anymore. We were quite lucky, there is a lot of people without power right now. That isn't a pleasant thing with the heat that we're having. So far today, our sky has been partly cloudy, and there are some storms popping up around the state, but nothing near us.
I'm expecting tonight to be much like last night . . . . popup storms throughout. These usually seem to track around us so we're lucky there.
