Weather Underground Forecast for Wednesday, September 03, 2014

Tropical cyclone development is not anticipated across the eastern Pacific on Wednesday, while the tropics are expected to ramp up or the Atlantic Basin. In the Atlantic Basin, an area of low pressure will be located over the western half of the Bay of Campeche. This system will have a high, 60% chance to develop into a tropical cyclone as it moves west northwestward over the Gulf of Mexico. Heavy rain and thunderstorms will affect parts of southern Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula. Cancun will experience intermittent thunderstorms with a high of 88(F)/ 31(C). Monsoonal moisture will also initiate widespread thunderstorms across central and western Mexico. The northeastern corner of the country will stay mostly clear of precipitation. Mexico City can expect afternoon and evening thunderstorms with a high of 71(F)/ 21(C). In the eastern Pacific, an area of low pressure will be located a few hundred nautical miles south of the southwestern coast of Mexico. This system will have a low, 20% chance to develop into a tropical cyclone as it pushes north northwestward.
